Pss.40
[6] Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire;
mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
[7] Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me
Heb.10
[6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou
hast had no pleasure.
[7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume
of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God
Note: Burnt offerings and sacrifices ended at/with the fulfillment of all prophecy in 70
A.D.
Mal.4
[5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD
Matt.3
[1] In those days came John the Baptist,
preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
[2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand.
Matt.11
[14] And if ye will receive it, this is Elias,
which was for to come.
Matt.3
[7] But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees
come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath
to come?
Matt. 4
[17] From that time Jesus began to preach, and to
say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt.10
[7] And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is at hand.
[23] But when they persecute you in this
city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
Matt.12
[27] And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom
do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
[28] But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom of God
is come unto you.
Matt.12
[41] The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because
they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
[42] The queen of the south shall rise up in
the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to
hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
Matt.16
[27] For the Son of man shall come in the glory
of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
[28] Verily I say unto you, There be some standing
here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Matt.23
[33] Ye serpents, ye generation
of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
[34] Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets,
and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in
your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
[35] That upon you may come all the righteous
blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom
ye slew between the temple and the altar.
[36] Verily I say unto you, All these
things shall come upon this generation.
Matt.27
[25] Then answered all the people, and said,
His blood be on us, and on our children
Matt.24
[1] And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple:
and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
[2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not
all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be
thrown down.
[3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the
disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign
of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
[4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take
heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am
Christ; and shall deceive many.
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours
of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be
afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall
betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Matt.24
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall
deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love
of many shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end,
the same shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall
be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Col.1
[5] For the hope which is laid up for you in
heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
[6] Which is come unto you, as it is
in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the
grace of God in truth:
[23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and
settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to
every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister
Rom.1
[8] First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ
for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Rom.10
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing
by the word of God.
[18] But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily,
their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Rom.16
[25]
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according
to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
[26]
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God,
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
Note: Therefore the Gospel was preached in all the world in that generation.
Matt.24
[15] When ye therefore shall
see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand:)
[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down
to take any thing out of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return
back to take his clothes.
[19] And woe unto them that are with child, and
to them that give suck in those days!
[20] But pray ye that your flight
be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning
of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matt.24
[22] And except those days should be shortened,
there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Josephus Wars 6.9
…and the Roman army encompassed the city when it was crowded with inhabitants. Accordingly, the multitude
of those that therein perished exceeded all the destructions that either men or God ever brought in the world…
Note: Josephus records over 1.1 million Jews killed in the siege/destruction of Jerusalem.
This is in addition to all those in Judea that died in the campaign of Titus 67 to 70 AD.
Matt. 24
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you,
Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you,
Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east,
and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will
the eagles be gathered together.
[29] Immediately after the tribulation
of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Isa.13
[9] Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land
desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
[10] For the stars of heaven and the constellations
thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall
not cause her light to shine.
[11] And I will punish the world for
their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the
haughtiness of the terrible.
[12] I will make a man more precious than
fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
[13] Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth
shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
[14] And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his
own people, and flee every one into his own land.
[15] Every one that is
found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
[16] Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their
wives ravished.
[17] Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them,
which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
Isa.13
[18] Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb;
their eye shall not spare children.
[19] And Babylon, the glory of
kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom
and Gomorrah.
The destruction of Babylon
by the Medes, written in 712 BC, fulfilled in 536 BC.
Isa.34
[3] Their slain also shall be cast out, and
their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
[4] And all the host
of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall
down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
[5] For my sword shall be bathed in
heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
[6] The
sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of
the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.
The fall of Bozrah, prophesied in 713 BC (Also predicted by Jeremiah in 600 BC) came to
pass in the fifth century BC.
Ezekiel 32
[7]
And when I shall put thee out, I will
cover the heaven, and make the stars
thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon
shall not give her light.
[8] All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee,
and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.
Concerning the destruction of Pharaoh King of Egypt
circa 587 BC
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the
Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming
in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound
of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When
his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise ye, when ye
shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
[34] Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all
these things be fulfilled.
[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away,
but my words shall not pass away.
Eph.3
[21] Unto him be glory in the church by Christ
Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Ecclesiastes 1
[4] One generation passeth away, and another
generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
Isa.45
[17] But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be
ashamed nor confounded world without end.
Matt.25
[13] Watch therefore, for ye know
neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matt.26
[63] But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest
answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
[64] Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless
I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds
of heaven.
Matt.28
[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark.1
[14] Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus
came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
[15] And saying, The time is fulfilled, and
the kingdom of God
is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mark 8
[37] Or what shall a man give in exchange for his
soul?
[38] Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Mark.9
[1] And he said unto them, Verily I say unto
you, That there be some of
them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
Mark.13
[1] And as he went out of the temple, one of his
disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
Mark.13
[2] And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou
these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
[3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over
against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
[4] Tell us, when shall these things be? and
what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
[5] And Jesus answering them began to say, Take
heed lest any man deceive you:
[6] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am
Christ; and shall deceive many.
[7] And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours
of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
[8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings
of sorrows.
[9] But take heed to yourselves: for they
shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before
rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
[10] And the gospel must first be published among
all nations.
[11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver
you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall
be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
[12] Now the brother shall betray the brother to
death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
[13] And ye shall be hated of all men for
my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[14] But when ye shall see the abomination
of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then
let them that be in Judaea
flee to the mountains:
[15] And let him that is on the housetop not go
down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
[16] And let him that is in the field not turn back
again for to take up his garment.
[17] But woe to them that are with child, and to
them that give suck in those days!
[18] And pray ye that your flight
be not in the winter.
[19] For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation
which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
[20] And except that the Lord had shortened those
days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath
shortened the days.
[21] And then if any man shall say to you,
Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall
rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
[23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold
you all things.
[24] But in those days, after that tribulation,
the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
[25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and
the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mark.13
[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming
in the clouds with great power and glory.
[27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall
gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
[28] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her
branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
[29] So ye in like manner, when ye
shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
[30] Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things
be done.
[31] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words
shall not pass away.
[32] But of that day and that hour knoweth no man,
no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
[33] Take ye heed, watch and pray:
for ye know not when the time is.
[34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far
journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
[35] Watch ye therefore: for ye know
not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
[36] Lest coming suddenly he find you
sleeping.
[37] And what I say unto you I say unto all,
Watch.
Mark.14
[61] But he held his peace, and answered nothing.
Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
[62] And Jesus
said, I am: and ye (Plural) shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming
in the clouds of heaven.
Luke.2
[34] And Simeon blessed them, and said unto
Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which
shall be spoken against;
Luke.3
[7] Then said he to the multitude that came forth
to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
[8]
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:
for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
[9] And now also the
axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast
into the fire.
Luke.9
[26] For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of
my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's,
and of the holy angels.
Luke.9
[27] But I tell you of a truth, there
be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom
of God.
Luke.10
[8] And into whatsoever city ye enter, and
they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
[9] And heal the sick that are therein, and say
unto them, The kingdom of God
is come nigh unto you.
Luke.11
[49] Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will
send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
[50] That the blood of all the prophets, which
was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
[51] From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias,
which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
[52] Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye
have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
Luke.12
[35] Let your loins be girded about, and
your lights burning;
[36] And ye yourselves like unto men that
wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto
him immediately.
[37] Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when
he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down
to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
[38] And if he shall come in the second watch,
or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
[39] And this know, that if the goodman of the house
had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
[40] Be ye therefore ready
also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
[49] I am come to send fire on the earth; and what
will I if it be already kindled?
Luke.16
[16] The law and the prophets were until
John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
[17] And it is easier for heaven and earth to
pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
Luke.17
[20] And when he was demanded of the Pharisees,
when the kingdom of God should come, he
answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh
not with observation:
Luke.17
[21] Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there!
for, behold, the kingdom of God
is within you.
[22] And he said unto the disciples, The days will
come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
[23] And they shall say to you, See here;
or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
[24] For as the lightning, that lighteneth out
of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
[25] But first must he suffer many things, and be
rejected of this generation.
[26] And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall
it be also in the days of the Son of man.
[27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives,
they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
[28] Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
[29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them
all.
[30] Even thus shall it be in the day when
the Son of man is revealed.
[31] In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop,
and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return
back.
[32] Remember Lot's
wife.
[33] Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall
lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
[34] I tell you, in that night there shall be two
men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
[35] Two women shall be grinding together; the one
shall be taken, and the other left.
[36] Two men shall be in the field; the one shall
be taken, and the other left.
[37] And they answered and said unto him, Where,
Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
The body = the fallen temple in Jerusalem
The eagles = the Roman armies
Luke.21
[5] And as some spake of the temple, how it was
adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
[6] As for these things which ye behold,
the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
